Young and old love their tattoos. But what if what you thought at the time it was cool, trend-setting or just plain “I don’t know why I did it!”, you decide now for whatever reason, you want your tattoo removed. It may not represent who you are today.

That’s where LaserSheer™ comes in to help. The good news for those who have an unwanted body design, our sophisticated laser technology can help eliminate your tattoo with minimal to no side effects.

Here’s How it Works

The pigment colors of the tattoo will break with a high-intensity light beam. Black tattoo pigment absorbs all laser wavelengths, making it the easiest to treat: in fact, the older the tattoo, the easier to remove. The reason is that the newer tattoo machines go deeper and therefore the tattoo is harder to remove.

Here are some common questions we’ll answer for you:

Does it hurt?

Laser tattoo removal is the least painful of other more traditional methods of tattoo removal. Similar to laser hair removal, the laser tattoo removal feels like a snapping of rubber bands against the skin. It may sting, but it is not as painful as surgical methods.

A topical anaesthetic can be applied to alleviate any discomfort.

How many sessions are required to achieve results? How long does each session take?
The amount of treatments and time depends on the size, color and depth of your tattoo. A consultation with our professionals gives you get a better estimate of the length of each session for you, which can range anywhere from a few minutes to a couple of hours. Sessions can take upwards of 6 to 8 times – and normally 6 weeks apart to give the skin a chance to heal in between.

Will the tattoo disappear?

First, it is important to know that the tattoo industry is vibrant and expanding due to popularity. That means that now there are 100’s of tattoo colors available. Without knowing which tattoo ink your design is created, how deep or how much was used, determining if the tattoo can be cleared completely is a difficult answer. Come in for a free consultation and find out.

Treated skin is sensitive. In fact, as with all treatments using lasers, the treated skin should be protected from sun exposure. Aside from staying covered for a few days, there is hardly any downtime due to laser tattoo removal. You should be able to go back to work or resume regular activities immediately after the procedure. But know that you need several weeks between sessions.

What are the risks?

Risks exist with any cosmetic and medical treatment. Because we’re working on your skin, a sensitive live organ, you will experience sensitivity. Rarely will you experience hyperpigmentation, infection or pinpoint bleeding. Book a consultation and our professionals will assess your skin type and your tattoo.
